“If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.” John 12:26 (NKJV) 1 Corinthians 12:4-5
The objective of the audio/video ministry is to create an environment where the spoken Word, worship songs sung and played, or music played from various media, can be heard with clarity and distinction, devoid of any distraction from the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
In addition, services are recorded with the intent for dissemination via CD, e-mail, or our Web site (calvarychapeljax.com), for those unable to attend a service, or for evangelism purposes.
To serve on this ministry, one does not need to be a “techie.” The most valuable trait in one who is interested in serving on the Audio/Video team is time commitment. For any service, mainly Sundays and Wednesdays, we are the first to arrive, and often the last to leave. A close second would be your hearing. Everything we do relies on our ears.
Experience in this area is helpful, but not a requirement. Anyone with time available to serve our King in this capacity and good hearing, can be trained to be a “Sound Servant.” Servants will receive all of the necessary training for all aspects of the audio ministry.
New audio servants will work alongside another audio team member during his/her training until they are comfortable enough to operate all audio equipment. We recommended that new servants serve a few consecutive Sundays and/or Wednesdays until they’re confident with the system. Once the person is working on their own they will be scheduled once or twice a month or when needed. Frequency may change based on the trained servants available.
A servant is required to show up for Sunday service at 8:20 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 5:50 p.m.
