“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,  Who bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10:15

The Street Witnessing Action Team (SWAT), consists of two or three people to a team who go out into predetermined neighborhoods in areas near our church and then expand outward to share the love of Jesus Christ with others. This is based on Acts 1:8 … we are being witnesses to Him in Jerusalem, and “in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

We go out for an hour, and the number of visits per hour is based upon how long people give us to visit with them. We knock on doors, meet people in the neighborhoods and even in stairways to share the love of Jesus.

Volunteers are welcome and nothing is expected but to come, listen and see. There is always a man on a team, so women do not go out alone. The Servant Leader can show and train anyone who would like to be involved.

We have been witness to many lives that have been changed. We often meet people who are not Christians.

  • One of them accepted Jesus, began attending church, was baptized, attended the new believer’s class, and is now part of the SWAT team, and is involved with the City Rescue Mission!
  • Another young man from Ghana, was baptized, was discipled one-on-one, became a greeter, and was involved with SWAT before moving to Denver.
We are blessed by the fact that all those we come in contact with hear God’s word and God’s word does not return void!

We have been invited into many homes, been blessed to pray for many people, given words of encouragement, leave Pastor Keith’s CDs/DVDs and literature, as well as provide financial blessings where hardships are encountered.
