Called to Serve
After spending several fruitful years at Youth for Christ, Keith joined the staff at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale as Youth Pastor under Pastor Stephan Tchividjian, Reverend Billy Graham’s eldest grandson. While on staff there, he also joined the praise and worship band, and occasionally led praise and worship in the absence of the Worship Pastor. Keith and his family were then called to Colorado Springs, Colorado where he served as Assistant Pastor at Rocky Mountain Calvary Chapel. After several years of ministry there, Keith responded to the Lord’s call to plant a Calvary Chapel in Jacksonville Beach, Florida in February 1999.
Making God’s Word Relevant
Pastor Keith faithfully continues to teach the Word of God making it relevant and applicable in the Calvary Chapel style. His emphasis is on reaching the lost through various types of evangelism — including Contemporary Christian music. Keith, his wife Christy and their three sons — Edward, Tyler, and Cody — continue to watch as God blesses Calvary Chapel’s active and passionate body of believers. Filled with God’s Spirit, Calvary Chapel believers hunger and thirst for God’s Word and share a love for the lost and hurting.
Love for Lost and Hurting
Pastor Keith’s testimony aired on CBN during the 700 Club in 2008. He was given permission to record on DVD his testimony titled “Glitter to Glory.” (A copy of the DVD is available free in the church lobby.) This was done with the help of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale Media Ministry and Calvary Chapel Jacksonville Media/Audio Ministry. Through faith in Christ, Pastor Keith’s deliverance from drug and alcohol abuse — and from seeking fame and fortune through Rock and Roll — is a living testimony of God’s power to “set free the captives” and it continues to draw the lost and hurting to Jesus Christ.
